In my free time, I will typically spend time outside, cooking, reading, or watching movies. My fur family consists of my two dogs with huge personalities. Sherrie Kohlmann

Client Service Coordinator

I’m originally from Iowa and moved to the valley with my family when I was thirteen. I have always had a passion for animals and have known since I was very young that I wanted to work with them. I am currently pursuing my goal of becoming a veterinary technician. I own two dogs, a Corgi and an Australian Shepherd mix, and a horse that I love dearly. My hobbies include reading, horseback riding, camping, and persistently throwing a ball for my fetch obsessed dog. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend!

Megan Ellett

Client Service Coordinator

Hi there, I’m Megan. I am originally from sunny Orange County California but have lived in Arizona for 10 years now! I may not have as much experience with animals as some of my coworkers, but I am loving getting to know this new world. A couple years ago, I became a first time cat owner, and even got to see 5 kittens born in my house. It has been very fun watching them all grow up. Besides loving my job here at the Animal Medical Center of Surprise, I am working towards receiving my BSN degree. When I am not working or studying, you can find me at the softball field or in the pool getting some sun.

Ashley Gilbert

Veterinary Technician

Hello, My name is Ashley and I am thrilled to working with such a wonderful team. I grew up just outside of Boston, where my love for all animals started. I started working with horses first, at the age of 6, then working in a veterinary hospital when I was 15 years old, as a receptionist/assistant. After high school, I moved to Denver Colorado where I pursued my education at Bel-Rea Veterinary Technical Institute and started working shortly thereafter. Starting my family about 10 years ago, I took a break to raise my family, and a few years ago, decided it was time to start working again. I made way to Arizona 7 years ago, and love to go hiking, swimming and exploring in my free time. We have a daughter (10), and a newborn son (2 ½ months), plus 4 puppies, (Josh, Brady, Honey and Lily), 2 kitties (Simba and Lucky) and a hampster named Oreo. My family and I love to rescue those in need, and all of our are rescues.

Amanda Pippin

Veterinary Technician

I have been in the Veterinary field since 2008 where I started as a kennel attendant at a small clinic here in Surprise, Az. From there I realized that this was the career for me and started to work my way up the ladder by deciding to attend Carrington College to obtain my Veterinary Assistant Certification, to which I completed in September 2011. I am currently studying at Penn Foster College to obtain my Bachelor’s in Business Management. I have 8 dogs (Mesha, Maddie, Daisy, Coco, Toby, Ellie, Pebbles and Ana), 3 cats (Callie, Ariel & Nala) and a Silver Gold Fish (Freddie Mercury). I enjoy spending time with my fur babies and boyfriend while we partake in camping, spur of the moment road trips or just relaxing at home! I am proud to call Animal Medical Center of Surprise my home and I look forward to meeting all of our new clients and their fur babies!
